Man Arrested for Burglary and Break-in Attempt in Gates, New York

On October 1, 2023, a man was arrested in connection with a burglary at Papa Joe's and an attempted break-in at Savastano's, both located in Gates, New York. The suspect, whose name has not been released, was apprehended by Gates police following a thorough investigation. The burglary at Papa Joe's resulted in the theft of an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise, valued at approximately $5,000. The suspect gained entry by breaking a window, which was later confirmed by the police.

In a separate incident, the same individual attempted to break into Savastano's by attempting to force open a rear door. However, the attempt was unsuccessful, and no property was stolen.
