Man Arrested for Robbing Albuquerque Thrift Store and Ice Kiosks

On October 1, 2023, a man was arrested for robbing a thrift store and several ice kiosks in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The incident occurred at the Goodwill store located at 1200 Central Avenue NW. The suspect, identified as 35-year-old John Doe, entered the thrift store around 2:00 PM and demanded cash from the register, escaping with an undisclosed amount of money. He then proceeded to rob several ice kiosks in the vicinity, making off with an estimated $500 in cash.

During the robbery, the suspect was accompanied by a woman, later identified as 28-year-old Jane Smith, who is accused of aiding and abetting the crime. Smith was seen waiting outside in a getaway vehicle, a silver Honda Civic, which was later used to flee the scene. The police were able to apprehend both suspects after a brief chase, during which no injuries were reported.
