On October 1, 2023, a man was arrested for robbing a thrift store and several ice kiosks in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The incident occurred at the Goodwill store located at 1200 Central Avenue NW. The suspect, identified as 35-year-old John Doe, entered the thrift store around 2:00 PM and demanded cash from the register, escaping with an undisclosed amount of money. He then proceeded to rob several ice kiosks in the vicinity, making off with an estimated $500 in cash.

During the robbery, the suspect was accompanied by a woman, later identified as 28-year-old Jane Smith, who is accused of aiding and abetting the crime. Smith was seen waiting outside in a getaway vehicle, a silver Honda Civic, which was later used to flee the scene. The police were able to apprehend both suspects after a brief chase, during which no injuries were reported.

Police have not yet released the exact amount stolen from the thrift store, but they have confirmed that the total value of the stolen items from the ice kiosks was approximately $500. The suspects were taken into custody and are currently being held at the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center. The police are appealing to the public for any additional information that could aid in their ongoing investigation.
