Man Charged with Burglary and Bank Robbery in Albany

On May 10, 2023, a burglary and bank robbery occurred at the Albany Savings Bank located at 123 Main Street, Albany, New York. The suspect, identified as a 32-year-old man from Schenectady, entered the bank around 2:00 PM, brandishing a firearm and demanding cash from the teller. The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money, which is estimated to be around $50,000.

The suspect was later apprehended by law enforcement after a brief chase. No injuries were reported during the incident.
