Man Charged with Sexual Assault After Breaking into Oakland Home, Pittsburgh

On October 1, 2023, a man broke into a home in the 400 block of North Negley Avenue, Oakland, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The intruder gained entry through an unlocked window and attempted to sexually assault the female resident. The victim was able to escape and seek help from a nearby neighbor.

The suspect, identified as a 30-year-old Pittsburgh man, was apprehended by police shortly after the incident. He has been charged with burglary, sexual assault, and related offenses.
