Police appeal following theft at Hengoed business unit

Theft of commercial equipment in Hengoed

According to an article published on 13 March 2024 by Caerphillyobserver, Gwent Police are investigating a burglary at a business unit on the Penallta Industrial Estate in Hengoed. A total of 53 commercial batteries, which are used for CCTV towers, were reported stolen from storage containers at a premises on North Road.

The incident reportedly occurred on Saturday, February 24, between 7.20am and 9.35am. Caerphillyobserver reports that authorities are seeking to identify three men seen on CCTV who were in the vicinity during the time of the theft. Gwent Police have requested that anyone with relevant information contact them by calling 101 or sending a direct message on social media, quoting log reference 2400065351. Anonymous reports can also be made via Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.

Business owners are encouraged to regularly review their security measures and ensure that all high-value equipment is stored in locked, monitored facilities.
