Ram raid burglary at shop in Arbroath

According to an article published by the Dailyrecord on 18 March 2024, police have launched an investigation following a ram raid at the SALUT Magazin Romanesc store on Arbroath High Street. The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday, 15 March 2024.

Dailyrecord reports that CCTV footage captured two individuals on a motorbike repeatedly ramming the shop's front door. After smashing a hole in the glass, one individual entered the premises and removed the till. The suspects subsequently fled the scene. According to the shop owner, the till contained only a small amount of loose change. It is believed that the motorbike used during the incident was stolen.

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed that officers received a report of the break-in at approximately 5:10 a.m. on Friday morning. Enquiries into the matter remain ongoing.

Business owners are encouraged to reinforce entry points and ensure that no cash is left on the premises overnight to deter potential intruders.
