On March 24, 2023, a 78-year-old man was severely beaten during a home invasion robbery at a residence on the 100 block of Fairmont Drive in San Leandro, California. The suspect(s) gained entry by breaking a window and proceeded to assault the victim, causing severe injuries. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Several items were stolen from the residence, including a television, jewelry, and cash, totaling approximately $5,000 in value.
