Stalker arrested following hammer attack during Galway burglary

A man has been arrested following a violent break-in at a residence in Galway on February 8, 2024. The intruder, who had previously been identified as a stalker of a college student living at the property, entered the home armed with a hammer.

During the course of the burglary, the assailant physically assaulted a housemate of the student. Following the incident, the individual was taken into custody by local authorities.
