Suspect Detained Following Alleged Armed Robbery at Consett Premier Store

A suspect has been taken into police custody following an alleged armed robbery at a Premier convenience store in Consett, County Durham.

The incident, which shocked the local community, occurred when an individual entered the shop brandishing a weapon and demanding cash and goods from the staff on duty. Employees, although deeply shaken by the ordeal, managed to contact emergency services shortly after the suspect fled the scene.
