Tenant Kills Accomplice During Burglary in Kansas City

On August 21, 2023, a home invasion in Kansas City, Missouri, took a tragic turn when a tenant fatally shot an accomplice during the burglary. The incident occurred at a residence on the 4100 block of East 28th Street. The tenant, who was present at the time of the burglary, confronted the intruders and shot one of them, resulting in his death. The other intruder managed to escape the scene.

The tenant was later charged with murder. The deceased accomplice was identified as 29-year-old Brandon White. The tenant was not injured during the altercation. Police are appealing for any information that could lead to the arrest of the second suspect, who remains at large. The stolen items, valued at approximately $1,500, included electronics and jewelry.
