Torrance Homeowners Chase Burglars from House Over Weekend

On Saturday, February 16, 2024, a burglary attempt occurred at a residence in the 1800 block of Maple Avenue in Torrance, California. The burglars gained entry through a rear window and attempted to steal a safe containing an estimated $5,000 in cash and jewelry valued at $10,000. The homeowners, who were present at the time, confronted the intruders and chased them away, preventing the theft.

The burglars fled the scene on foot and were last seen heading northbound on Maple Avenue. No arrests have been made, and the suspects remain at large. The Torrance Police Department is appealing to the public for any information that could lead to the identification and arrest of the suspects.
