Two Canton Businesses Burglarized, Man Charged

On October 12, 2023, two businesses in Canton, Ohio, were burglarized. The first incident occurred at a local convenience store on Market Avenue, where the burglar smashed a window to gain entry. The second incident happened at a nearby restaurant on 3rd Street, where the burglar forced open a back door. The burglar stole approximately $5,000 in cash and merchandise from the convenience store and $3,000 in cash and electronics from the restaurant. The total value of the stolen items is estimated at $8,000.

Police responded to the scenes and found significant damage to the properties. No injuries were reported. The suspect was later identified as a 35-year-old man from Canton. He was arrested on October 14, 2023, and charged with two counts of burglary. The police are appealing to the public for any additional information that could aid in their investigation.
