Two Men Arrested Following Daytime Burglary in Craigavon

CRAIGAVON — The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) have arrested two men following a daytime residential burglary in the Drumford Close area of Craigavon. The break-in, which occurred on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, involved the theft of money and significant damage to the property.

Detectives stated that entry was gained to the house at approximately 12:10 pm. The perpetrators ransacked the upstairs rooms, causing damage to a rear garden glass door in the process. The suspects managed to steal cash and several other items before fleeing the scene.

Vehicle of Interest and Police Investigation

Initial enquiries led officers to identify a silver-coloured Honda Civic as a vehicle of interest. The car was reportedly spotted fleeing the scene and traveling towards the Corcrain Road area of neighbouring Portadown shortly after the incident.

Following a rapid response, police arrested two suspects in connection with the burglary. Both individuals have since been released on police bail pending further enquiries as detectives compile evidence.

Public Appeal for Footage

The PSNI has appealed to residents, commuters, and business owners in the area for assistance. "We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have CCTV, dash-cam, or mobile phone footage of a silver Honda Civic in the vicinity of Corcrain Road between 12:00 pm and 12:30 pm on Wednesday, October 23," a police representative stated.
