Vinton Robbery and Shooting Leads to Two Arrests

On October 2, 2023, a robbery and shooting incident occurred at a residence on the 100 block of South Main Street in Vinton, Virginia. The suspects entered the residence through a rear window, and a struggle ensued with the homeowner. During the altercation, the homeowner was shot in the leg. The suspects fled the scene with a stolen television valued at $800 and a laptop valued at $1,200, totaling $2,000 in stolen property. The homeowner sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The Vinton Police Department responded to the scene and launched an investigation. On October 4, 2023, two suspects were arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
