Violent Burglary in Southampton Leads to Arrests and Jail Sentences

Two individuals have been jailed for a violent burglary that took place in Southampton. The incident occurred on the evening of 13th March 2023, at a residential property on Bitterne Road. The burglars, armed with a knife, forced entry into the home and assaulted the 65-year-old resident, causing minor injuries.

The burglars stole £20,000 in cash and jewelry valued at £10,000. They escaped the scene in a stolen vehicle, which was later recovered by police. The two suspects, a 25-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, were arrested a week later in the city center. Police have appealed for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward, emphasizing the severity of the crime and the need for community support in solving such cases.
