Armed Robbery at Rockford Citgo Gas Station Leads to Arrests

Two Rockford teens are facing charges after an armed robbery at the Citgo Gas Station located at 115 N. Bell School Rd. on Sunday, October 1, 2023. The suspects, both 17-year-olds, allegedly entered the gas station around 10:30 PM, brandishing a firearm, and demanded cash from the register. They fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money, leaving no injuries reported. The suspects were later apprehended and charged with armed robbery and drug possession.

The Rockford Police Department responded to the scene and conducted an investigation that led to the identification and arrest of the suspects. The police have not released the names of the suspects as they are minors.
