Armed Robbery Attempt in Mokuleia Leaves Victim Injured

On the evening of October 6, 2023, two male suspects attempted to rob a 43-year-old man at gunpoint in Mokuleia, Hawaii. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. when the suspects approached the victim, who was on the side of the road. One suspect assaulted the man while the other brandished a handgun. The pair attempted to steal the victim's property but were unsuccessful and fled the scene. The victim sustained a minor injury and declined medical treatment.

The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) has opened a first-degree robbery case and is actively seeking the two suspects. The first suspect is described as 6 feet tall, 200 pounds, with a stocky build, brown eyes, and black hair, wearing dark clothing. The second suspect is approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, also wearing dark clothing. Police have not made any arrests in connection with the incident.
