Bank Robbery in Des Moines Leaves Police Searching for Suspect

On Tuesday, a bank robbery occurred at the Wells Fargo branch located at 2001 Grand Avenue in Des Moines, Iowa. The suspect, armed with a handgun, entered the bank around 10:30 AM and demanded cash from the tellers. The robber fled the scene on a bicycle, which was later found abandoned near the intersection of 23rd Street and University Avenue.

The suspect made off with an estimated $5,000 in cash. No injuries were reported during the incident. Police have not yet made any arrests and are appealing to the public for any information that could lead to the identification and capture of the suspect. The Des Moines Police Department is urging anyone with relevant information to contact them immediately.
