Burglary and Sexual Assault in Denton Leads to Life Sentence

On March 24, 2023, a former Denton resident was found guilty of breaking into a woman's home in the 1300 block of West Hickory Street, Denton, Texas. The intruder, identified as a former Denton resident, entered the residence through an unlocked window and assaulted the victim. The victim was not injured during the assault.

The perpetrator stole jewelry and cash, valued at approximately $5,000. The victim was able to identify the suspect, leading to his arrest. The suspect was found guilty of burglary and sexual assault. During the sentencing trial, additional accusations were revealed, including a similar incident in a neighboring town.
