Armed Bank Robbery in Chestnuthill Township

State police are investigating an armed bank robbery that occurred at the Citizens Bank branch located at 108 Erin Lane in Chestnuthill Township, Pennsylvania, just before 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2023. According to Trooper Anthony Petroski, a state police spokesperson, a masked man entered the bank and presented a note to a teller demanding money. The teller complied, and the man fled the scene.

The suspect was described as wearing a black jacket with a logo on the left sleeve, black pants, a red-hooded sweatshirt, white sneakers, a black mask, and black gloves. The vehicle used in the escape was described as a dark-colored SUV without a registration plate. No injuries were reported, and the exact amount of money stolen has not been disclosed.

Police are appealing to the public for any information that could aid in the investigation. Anyone with relevant details is asked to contact state police at the Fern Ridge barracks at 570-646-2271. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this time.
