Pharmacy Burglars Arrested in Union County

Two individuals suspected of involvement in over 100 pharmacy break-ins were arrested in Union County, North Carolina, following a high-speed chase. The suspects, whose names have not been released, were apprehended after a pursuit that ended in a crash near the intersection of Old Charlotte Highway and Old Monroe Road.

The burglars targeted pharmacies, using a similar modus operandi in each case. They would break into the stores, often smashing windows or doors, and steal prescription medications. The stolen items, primarily opioids and other controlled substances, were valued at over $100,000.
